Which type of editing is right for me?

COPYEDITING

Often combined with line editing, copyediting is a highly detailed edit of your work. This type of editing involves corrections, suggestions and comments.

Best for a manuscript that has had some form of developmental editing or beta reader feedback, but has yet to undergo rigorous editing at the sentence and paragraph level.

PROOFREADING

Proofreading is a final check for any errors or inconsistencies. There is no significant textual intervention at this stage beyond tidying things up.

Best for a manuscript that has already undergone some form of editing for errors, clarity and style.
